My New Blog

Yarn Demoiselle

Goodbye Knitting Forever!
Your last post,
Your New Yarn Demoiselle

New Nothings

I have done absolutely nothing. No knitting, or anything. With Yarn Harlot she has whenever she talks about knitting, it's "Your Yarn Harlot is..." and stuff like that. Should I have a nickname? The only "bad" thing about having a nickname like that is Yarn Harlot is the blog name. Should I start a new blog with a name? It would make it easier to clear my title , "Worst blogger of 2010". I'll think. If I decide to make a new blog, the link will be in the next (last) post. :)
Soon to have a more exciting blog,

Things, and Promises Being Broken

I was reading the book Casts Off, by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee when I came across this question, "Why do I like knitting so much?". I abruptly stopped reading (I am a big reader...) and thought about it. Absentmindedly I said aloud, "Because..." I really didn't know. I decided to go to bed (bad choice... When I am thinking about something, OMG there's a thing called sleep?) I tossed and turned in bed and I came up with a few good answers. Like "It's a craft." Wait. Oh, I am thinking of the BAD ideas that ran through my head. Okay. Like " 'Cause I like being different." and " 'Cause people like me." But I finally came up with the real answer. "Because I like producing things that me and others like.
The promise I made before? How this blog will just be about knitting? Screw that. My life is interesting and... Well... 'Interesting' pretty much describes my life. Oh, and hectic.
Oh and the other promise about writing once a week? Screw that too. I will write when I have time. I understand, and you will now too, that my life is SUPER busy.
That's all things new. I haven't been knitting this week. I've been too busy. (And all those 'traditions'? Screw them too.)
I've been thinking about casting on something new... Now is the perfect time. It's 9:30. And it's just me and Mom. And Dad and Val won't be home until super later. See ya. I promise... Wait. Isn't promises what got me into this mess? No more promises.

My 1st Knitting Post (Sort of... Well, not really.)

You may think, She's been such a bad blogger, I should even try... (Note to self, add Knitting Forever to The Blogs I Think You Should Try...) Well, I agree, I have been such a bad blogger. But this is a brand new blog! (Well, not really... I just loved the name Knitting Forever, so I didn't want to make a new one.) Let's all go deep into our imagination, deeper then ever before, and believe, believe that this is a brand new blog. Now come out of your imagination, but still believe in the back of your head, maybe in the center, that this is a brand new blog.
I have picked up some tips from Yarn Harlot, which in my mind is the best blog ever!! (No offense to any Knitting blogs out there. Leave a comment if you have a knitting blog.) Like make Top Ten Lists. For her, they are hilarious! I only read January 2004, and her Top Ten List was really funny. :)
My Top Ten List on Why This Blog Will Be Awesome
10. I will try to update it at least once a week with all the happenings with my Knitting. Please, bear with me, I am now learning true blogging.
9. I love knitting (right now...)! I go through phases and I am 100% sure that you people out there do to. So I might not be interested in blogging about knitting all the time, but I will always go back to it. :D
8. I am new to true blogging, so I'll make mistakes, and some (most, I hope..) of the time those mistakes will be funny.
7. My writing I will try to make as descriptive as possible. Like emoctions (typing emotions, like smiley face :) or mad :/ )
6. I am CRAZY, say my BFF at school. She says to our friends," Who's crazier? Me (Apple Juice is back.. My BFF is SO crazy at times. Like on Fridays during our violin lessons...) or A.J? (Yes, A.J. stands for Apple Juice, ponderers.)" Most of the time, they would point at me. Unless it is Friday. Then she's the winner.
5. My lucky number is 5! I am (somewhat) superstitious. Not in everything. Not in bad luck. Like my black cat Loki? He passes my path all the time. My life goes on, as normal.
4. I love, love, love my comments. I will answer them asap. I never get comments, and that's why I treasure them so much. :0
3. My mom loves knitting too, so that will pull me in the loop.
2. I love pictures! I have a camera too, so I will get pictures of everything! (More or Less...)
1. I think of things differently then some people. Not everything, but I try to put a spin on life.
Dad and Sis alert. Must end this post. Next post will be about knitting for sure!! I promise!

Knitting Forever, back in!

I was looking at my posts, and I thought, Why is this called Knitting Forever if I never write about knitting? Well, that led to me looking around at all other knitting blogs. They really set a good example for me. like Yarn Harlot. They inspired me. It's a new year, 2011. Never look at my old posts. They're baaaad. I am going to focus on writing my knitting in here and my life in my notebooks. It's Sunday, a perfect day to spend all my time here.
I might not get to everything everyday, but I will do my best to catch you up. I have 2 instruments, soccer and softball, homework, surprise surprise a social life, and The Laundry News to keep me busy.
From this day on, this is a Knitting blog. :)
I wanted to give this post specialty, so my next post will be about Knitting. (I don't know why, but I want to make knitting with a capital K every time. Traditions, tradtions. Must start them now...)

We're going to rule the school! (Too many exclaimation points...) Here's some interesting info. My elemetary school goes from 4k-5th grade. Then my middle school goes from 6th grade-8th grade. Then my high school goes from 9th grade-12th grade. The thing is I'm a walking distance away from each school! I can bike to my middle school... Umm..... I have nothing else to say, I guess...

Oops

I am sorry that I haven't posted for awhile.... Well I'll make it up to you!!! I made a story and at the end of this post, I'll put it! (Sadly, it doesn't have a name... Give me ideas!) Well, as you may know, since I am on Ravelry, I am officially 10!!!!!! I love it! I got A LOT of gift cards this year... Let's see I've got nothing else to say, so here it goes... Here's my story :) It's a little long, though, so get comfy! I recommend popcorn, LOTS of pillows, and a lot of time. Those are optional, though...

(Please read! Part of story.)
The Author’s Note
Hi, I’m Goony. I will tell this story. Now, about me… Hmm… Ahh, I LOVE taking pictures. I have white skin. My best friend, Sally has reddish-brownish hair. I have brown hair.
Me and Sally love working together. She likes taking notes, me pics. My favorite color is red. Red is my world!!! O.K, moving on.
My full name is Goony Saint Wire. My friends call me Wire. Sally is very intelligent. Her favorite subject in school is math. AWSOME!!! She’s a lover of dogs. Dogs are all she thinks about. Ugh! Think about other things, WOMAN!! She has a dog (THANK GOODNESS!!). His name is Max. I have a dog too. Her name is Emily. What a dog! I think it’s time for a story!
Sincerely,
WIRE

Chapter 1
Ding-Dong
Ding-dong went the Wire household doorbell. I rushed to answer it. It was Sally.
“Hi Wire,” Sally said.
“Oh hey, come in.” I stepped aside.
It was 1:30 pm. Sally was coming over for a sleep over. We played Scrabble, Twister, and Life. As soon as we finished playing games, we had Papa John’s pepperoni pizza. Then we fell asleep.
Chapter 2
The Wizard and the Monster
After everyone was asleep, a bad monster had passed our front yard. A wizard was trying to catch him. I didn’t know this at the time. The wizard had magical dust. This special dust could shrink things. His plan was to shrink the Monster, and then step on him. What a great plan, but it didn’t work. It was dark. The wizard has a helper. He threw the special, magical dust at his helper. Down the helper shrunk. Then, right after the helper shrunk, a dirt patch where some of the dust landed, grew grass.

Chapter 3
Shrinking Down
It was morning, I thought. I rubbed my eyes slightly. Yep, it was morning, it really was. I walked out of bed. Then, I got my clothes on. I woke up Sally. She got ready to go outside. Next, Sally and I did our normal walk to inspect things. We silently walked outside. Sally saw a new patch of grass (the one we didn’t know about). Sally yelled,
“Wow, I never knew that patch of dirt grew grass!” She examined the patch. Sally touched it. She was SHRINKING!!!!
“Sally,” I whispered. No answer. “Sally,” I whispered, a little louder. Still no answer. “Sally,” I said, now in my regular voice, for the final time. No answer. Then, I touched it too. I closed my eyes, just in time. Whoosh, all this air rushing past my face. It felt like a bullet. Bam, I had hit the ground.
“Oww,” I said. I rubbed my forehead. I opened one eye. Everything looked weird. It looked like a huge rain forest. I got up, walked around, and was yelling at the top of my voice, “SALLY!!!”
I couldn’t find Sally for a very long time. An hour, I suppose. I was losing hope. I walked on and on. No, I told myself, I won’t give up. My VERY hard work paid off. After two whole hours (I think), I found Sally. What a relief!
She was lying on a four leaf clover. When I tried to climb up the stem I noticed I couldn’t get up that way. I sat down to think, Do I have anything in my pocket?
Right after I asked that question I reached into my right pocket and I found a rope! Then in my other pocket I had a paper clip. I thought again, Could I use this? I looked at my materials. Yes, I could use these things. I attached the paper clip to the rope. I threw the attached paper clip and rope up towards the clover. Missed, I thought.
Then I opened up the paper clip to hold on. I threw it again, Yes! I did it! Now, what? I thought. Maybe I could climb it, but just maybe, I thought. In previous gym classes, I chickened out of rock climbing. All of my friends laughed at me, except Sally. I’ll do this for her, I thought. I grabbed hold of the rope. You can do it Sally would be saying, I thought, again. I gulped, took a deep breath, then started. It was scary at first then I got the hang of it. That wasn’t scary, I thought after I made it up. The moment I saw Sally, I ran to her.
“Sally, Sally…” I started yelling, frantically.
“Uhh,” were the first words out of Sally’s mouth. She rubbed her forehead then said,” Where am I, Wire?” I told her everything I knew at the time.
“How did you get up?” Sally asked after I finished talking. I showed her the rope. “Wow, that’s amazing,” Sally exclaimed. Once we were on the ground, Sally spoke, “What are we going to do?”
I replied, “Well, I don’t know.” Sally looked behind us and let out a scream.
“RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!!!” she screamed. Sally gripped my hand so tight it hurt. I got dragged along until I looked. I screamed even louder. There was a spider as big as us! I ran for my life!
Then Sally took my paper rope contraption and threw it at a clover. It clipped and we swung. Did I tell you she’s such a thrower? Well, she is.
Once on the clover, Sally still gripped my hand. Her face looked like a white snowy cloud. With my free hand, I waved right in front of her face. She shook her head and let go of my hand.
“Oww…” I said.
“Sorry…” Sally said quietly.
I couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong?” Sally had tears in her eyes.”Well, I want to go home!” Sally started crying. I tried making her feel better by saying,
“Everything will be all right, Sally.”
After those encouraging words, Sally scribbled down a note, too messy to read.

Chapter 4
The Man
“Wh-who’s that?” Sally managed to sniffle, pointing at a man. My eyes went wide. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Was I right? A man our size was right there? Yes, he was there. A goofy looking man.
I said, “Who are you and how did you get here?”
“Well, I’m the great ol’ mighty wizard! Who are you!!!!???!” the man yelled.
“Take it easy, mister, I’m Wire and this,” I pointed to Sally, ”is Sally. Could you help us down, sir?”
“Sir, SIR?!?! Oh no, you don’t call me sir. You call me…” his voice trailed off.
Sally said shyly, “Umm, remember getting down?”
“Oh, yeah.” He pulled out a wand. “Maga Laga lift!!!!!!!” he yelled with great expression. A blinding sparkle came out of his wand. An invisible hand was picking us up. It squeezed us really hard. I couldn’t breathe at all. Then it let go.
“What, Who?” I wheezed. My hand went to the side of my forehead. My knees gave out.
“Wire, you all right?” the man said. I was soon standing again. He was wearing a purple robe and a cone shaped hat. “I’m Robby but you can call me Rob. I am a wizard in training. A WIT for short. Why are you here?”
“It’s a long story.” I replied.
“Well, we have all the time in the world!” I told Rob the entire story. He told me his story, so I was surprised by his story of the monster.
Chapter 5
Of All the Dogs in the World

After we’d informed each other, I heard a jingle. Oh no, I thought. Then I heard a bark.
“Run!!!!!!!” I screamed. Sally turned around and ran. It was my yellow lab, Emily! I heard the jingle, jingle of the dog collar. It brought back a happy memory for a second. Then I remembered that I small and the smile went away. I knew exactly what to do. I said,
“Sally, get on my shoulders.”
“Why?”
“Just do it!” I exclaimed. Sally got on with ease. I threw her up on to the enormous yellow lab. She was fine, of course. Did I tell you that she was in gymnastics? Oh… I threw the paper clip invention up to her. Of course during all of this, I was still running for my life.
“Throw the rope down!!!!” She did rather hastily. I grabbed the rope, and attempted to climb up, swinging, swaying. I was halfway there. I felt the fur of my yellow lab, Emily. After I was up, Rob grabbed the rope and climbed. Kerplop. Sally sat in the front of what seemed like a school bus, I sat in the middle, and Rob in the back. Just like a school bus, I thought. Light was fading away. Rob said over the thundering paws slicing the paws,
“It’s sundown. We need to get of this dog now.” He pointed at the ground.
“How?” was all I could get over the loud piercing sound. Poof, there was an air mattress.
“Jump!!!!” Rob yelled. Sally took of and so did Rob. I seemed to be plastered to my seat, it felt like to me.
Sally yelled, “Wire!” at the top of her lungs. The world paused to me. What was I supposed to do? Stay? Jump? Before I could decide, I fell off my dog. I was unconscious, but I could still hear. Sally’s worried voice said, “Do you think he’ll be alright?”
Rob’s depressing voice breathed deeply, “I’m afraid he has a broken wrist, but other then that he’ll be fine.” I felt Sally’s warm, cozy hands over my heart.
“He’s still breathing,” Sally said quietly.
“Well, let’s pick him up and put him on the mattress,” Rob’s big, loud voice boomed. Next thing I knew, Sally was holding my hands and Rob was holding my feet. After, I fell asleep.
When I woke up, the bright sunshine was blocked by an enormous figure. Well, actually two. It was my mom and dad standing side by side looking left and right.
“What shall we do? He and Sally have gone missing. Should we put an ad in the paper?” The big loud voice of my dad boomed.
“Not yet, Gerald. We should wait a little longer,” my mom replied. Oh no! They recognized our disappearance!
“Psst,” hissed a voice. “Over here!” It sounded like it was coming from the right. I walked to the right, toward the mysterious voice. “Gotcha!” I was in a net with duck tape over my mouth.
“Mmmm!!!!” was all I could say.
“What was that?” snapped the mysterious voice. Walking into the light was a beetle! “Aha! Breakfast time!” Two more beetles walked into the light. In the bottom of the net there was a hole big enough for me to slip through. I slipped through ever so quickly, then ran as fast as I could away from the beetles.
“Gate, Bruce, seize him!!” The sight I saw was the greatest! I saw Rob, Sally and a golf cart the size of us.
“Jump in!” cried Sally, making room for me. I jumped in. Rob pressed down on the gas. “Are you okay?” Sally asked, peeling off the duck tape.
“Yeah,” I said calmly.
“Rob found the wizard.”
“Who?”
“The wizard. You know, monster, wizard,” Sally answered. A light bulb went on in my head.
“Will we go back to normal size?” I asked, excitedly.
“Yes! That’s the exciting part I was getting to. Are you ready!?!” Sally smiled.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.”
“We’re ready Rob,” Sally half yelled, half said.
“Ally soo!” exclaimed Rob.
I heard woosh and bam. When I opened my eyes, I saw we were all lying in my front lawn. I would miss small life forever. Or would I?

Let's PARTY!

Ok, I just came back for the GREATEST party ever! It was at CR's house. K, B, CR (of course!), M, G, L, and CN. Right when I got there, everyone that was there, G was still coming, piled into the bathroom. We tried to surprise G. That didn't work out well. Everyone was yelling, turning the lights on and off, oh, it was a nightmare. Then G walks in and says, "Hi. What did I miss?" I started laughing. We went into CR's living room and picked out a movie. It was called, Imagine That. It was great! Well, for what I watched. Everyone was screaming, laughing, pointing, you name it! L and I were the only people who were TRYING to watch the movie. It was an 1hr and 47min. long. During the movie, we ate pizza, then after, candy sushi that K brought in. When it was done, we all played American Idol. I was Simon, and only 3 of the 6 made it. Then I got a turn. I sang Fireflies, and it was great. M, who took place as Simon, thought it was the best of the season so far! :) I got the Golden Ticket, and K and B were my mom and little sis who wanted to meet the judges SO badly. We all screamed! I was part of the 3 that made it out of the 6. K met the judges, and got their autographs. Then CR sang an awesome song. I forgot what it was called! Oh yeah.... Um.... I really forgot! That was the end of the party.
